Hikarimoyou Beautiful Kohaku and German Koi are shining.
Hikarimoyou is a shiny variety of Koi that does not have a black pattern such as Kohaku.

A shiny Koi with a strong black pattern, such as Showa Sanke called Hikari Utsuri, and a shiny pattern is called Kohaku.
The Kouhaku shimmering pattern is called Sakuraogon, and the three colors of the shimmering pattern are called Yamato Nishiki.
Both of them are named after beautiful Japanese names.
Also, many of the shiny patterns are German carp, and the Kohaku German carp is called Kikusui. (You could say it’s the German version of cherry blossom gold.)
You can read more about German Koi in “German Koi – Beautiful Nishikigoi without scales“.
What kind of quality Hikarimoyou are Nishikigoi?
A quality Hikarimoyou is basically the same as how to evaluate a non-shiny carp.
If it’s kouhaku, it should have beautiful folds and a thicker and darker red part.
In the case of German Koi with a shimmering pattern, the quality is high when the pattern is beautiful and the white ground is beautiful.
The shiny pattern of the German carp has a beautiful and smooth texture like a woman’s skin due to the lack of scales.
The gentle brilliance of Hikarimoyou and the strong brilliance of Hikariutsuri.
Hikarimoyou and Hikariutsuri are the two most glossy varieties of Nishikigoi.
Hikarimoyou is very beautiful among Nishikigoi with the brilliance of tsuyaki varieties such as Kohaku, Taisho Sanke and German Koi.
I prefer it with both breeds, but if you have a lot of Nishikigoi, it will definitely look good in a single pond or tank.
